Materials I work with
For materials I like to use and combine stainless steel, high quality glass beads (Preciosa mostly), polymer clay, resin and I really like to use natural materials as well like pearls, crystals etc 🍄🧚🏻♀️
Overall I only work with high quality materials that I carefully pick.
What inspires me 🔮
I grew up watching Tim Burton’s movies — especially Corpse Bride.Around the same time, I fell in love with Monster High dolls — long before they were even released here in the Czech Republic. I collected them obsessively (I still do), drawn to their mix of spooky glamour and unapologetic authenticity. They taught me that weirdness can be beautiful and you should embrace it.
Through them, I also discovered makeup/fashion — another way to express, and tell stories. And then there’s Coraline, my forever favorite. That film’s eerie yet whimsical atmosphere lives in everything I create.
Pendant Ghouls is my love letter to all of that: the beautifully odd, the misunderstood, the dreamers who live between worlds.
About me
Hey there, my name is Nicol!
I’m not just a small business owner — I’m also an artist and a very sensitive soul, ever since I can remember. I like to work in my safe, private bubble and get lost in the alternative worlds I create.
Since childhood, I’ve loved pretending to be a fairy, mermaid, vampire, or other fantasy beings. Creating stories, characters, and bringing them to life feels completely natural to me. Being a creative soul, art — especially sculpting and jewelry making — brings me calm and joy, even during tough times.
I try to keep all of my art as “human-like” as possible. I want to embrace imperfections and normalize them — to help others find true appreciation for their own uniqueness.
What makes art (at least for me personally) the most valuable is the fact that it’s handmade — crafted by our own hands. It’s about putting thought, emotion, feeling, experience, and authenticity into what we create, and sharing that with others to connect and maybe even help each other out sometimes.
I usually create each of my Ghoul jewelry pieces (mostly polymer clay ones) only once. That means once a necklace is gone, it’s truly gone — I won’t make the same one again. This also means you won’t see anyone else with the exact same Ghoul as yours. I find this to be the best way for me to create. It flows, it’s unique, and most of all — it’s still a lot of fun.
